Provo Beach Outing

We were getting a little cabin fever, so we decided to have a fun outing at Provo Beach. We went on the Merry Go Round, bowled, climbed on the play place and played Arcade games. It was a very nice change of pace! 

Lucy's Birthday Party

I decided to take it a little easier this year as far as making decorations and giving a theme to Lucy's party– so instead, we decided to go sledding up at the cabin with family. It was a good choice because the whole day was a blast! The kids had so much fun riding the snowmobile up the hill and sledding down. Lucy and Kambree started off on the "bunny hill" together. It was super cute to watch them. Then Lucy went down with Aunt Erika, Uncle Rem and Daniel down the big hill. They were cruisin. That hill is fast! Afterwards Lucy ate snow and built a snowman with Aunt Erika and her cousins. I think that was her favorite part. She even gave the snowman a little kiss. 

Once the kids got tired, we all went in for lunch. Then we sang Happy Birthday to Lucy. She surprised us all and blew out her 2 birthday candles right away. Then she gobbled her Elsa cupcake right up! Everyone was so nice and brought her a present. We have pretty great, supportive families. Lucy was spoiled! She loved her talking dolly from Grandma and Grandpa Tervort and her doll RV from Grandma and Grandpa Moss. She also really really loved her Cinderella night gown from cousin Katie. She wanted to put it on immediately after opening it. She sure loves her princesses. She had such a fun time at her party, she fell asleep right after we got in the car to go home.

Lucy's Birthday

After a very fun party up at the Cabin, Lucy's actual birthday was a little slow, but she still had fun! I made her pancakes for breakfast, then we invited her friends, Cooper and Allie to the Libary. She loves Mother Goose time at the Library. Afterwards, we played together in her kitchen and with all of her new toys. When daddy got home, we took her to dinner at Carl's Jr and went on the fun playplace. Then we gave her the rest of her presents– an elephant and a chalkboard. She loved loved her elephant! Then to end the night, we had yummy ice cream! 

We love our little 2 year old! She is so sweet, smart, and beautiful!

Lucy @ 2 Years!

How time flies. My baby girl is 2 YEARS OLD! That is crazy! She has quite the personality and is very rambunctious! 

Some things about Lucy @ 2 years:

- She repeats anything you say. Even things like stupid and idiot. Gotta watch our language!

- She loves to sing. Likes to complete phrases to song like popcorn popcorn, wheels in the bus, pat a cake. But pretty good at singing the whole songs of I love to see the temple, sunshine, Itsy Bitsy Spider, twinkle twinkle little star. She loves princess songs! She asks me to sing them to her every night. And she knows the words to most all of them– Rapunzel song, Cinderella song, Ariel Song, Let it Go, First Time, etc.

- She loves temples. She always points them out and says temple. Just the other day she pointed to a church and said temple. She loves going to church, especially nursery. She looks forward to it. She will get a little anxious in Sacrament meeting and yell out NURSERY!

-She loves to play with monkeys and dolls and likes to put them to bed and change their diapers.

- She is still very particular about what show she is watching. She Loves tv. Lately she likes watching Care Bears, My Little Pony, and all the Princess shows.

- She loves to color. Has good dexterity. She colors the eyes when I tell her too and so on. She likes me to trace her hand.

- She's a wild child! She is so rambunctious and hard to keep up with sometimes. Always making messes, always chatting away, she's a busy body.

- She is great at taking naps and going to bed. As long as she sleeps with her monkey, dolly, doggy and 2 blankets, she'll go right now. She has to give them all kisses before bed. She graduated to a toddler bed at 22 months! She sleeps so well in it. I thought she'd wiggle and fall off, but she wakes up in her pillow still. And she's been sleeping in until 9 and taking longer naps! She doesn't get out if bed until I come get her.

- She is great at saying her prayers. Before dinner or whenever we eat, she'll fold her arms and say prayer. She always makes sure to pray for papa.

- She is such an amazing talker! She will always tell me how she feels or what she wants. She always wants a bandaid and Popsicles lately. She tells me she needs to go poo poo or potty chair, but still isn't good about actually using the potty chair. She can recite her name and it's adorable! She can tell you what animals are at the zoo. She talks all the time.

- She's been going on time out more frequently for climbing in the table and whining. She's pretty good at staying in the corner, but I think she likes it.

- She loves to pinch my cheeks lately (it kills). But it makes her giggle so much. She also likes to make funny faces.

- She always dances. Lately she's loved to go to the riverwoods and dance with the other kids when they're playing music. She has some of the funniest moves that crack us up.

- She loves to scare me. She always shuts her self in the pantry and comes out with a big boo or rawr! It's so cute.

- She makes anything into a slide. A blanket on the couch, my legs. She loves to slide.

- she loves giving kisses, but they are always wet slobbery ones. She doesn't know how to keep her tongue in her mouth.
- She loves her brother and will give my tummy kisses
- She has been saying the cutest things lately. When Dan and I were in the car, Dan says "i see London I see France I see mommys...." Then Lucy says BELLY BUTTON! It was darling. She also always says thank you mommy like a hundred times a day. Also when she was saying her prayers we asked her what she is thankful for and she said Jesus. Then she said mommy and daddy 3 times. So cute!
- She can count to ten (most of the time). She is really good at it when we are going down the stairs and counting them. 
- She is starting to know colors especially blue and pink.
- She loves to say no mommy and no daddy. We don't like that.
- She loves princess everything. Especially Rapunzel. Tonight she couldn't fall asleep cuz she kept singing I got a dream. So cute! We also read her princess books 2x a day. We need to get more, cuz the 4 we read are getting pretty old.
- One time I let her answer the phone when Daniel called. She says "hi dad hello hi. Going downstairs." I ask can I see the phone now? And she says "nope, sorry!" She's a cute little stinker!
- She's very polite and says please and thank you. When someone compliments her she says thank you.
- been saying no thank you and nope sorry a lot. She's been also very sweet and says love you mommy.
- She can't say her k's at the end of the sentence. She says, milt, lute, etc. She also can't say "gr" so she calls Grandma– Damma, Graham– Dam and pomegranate– Dam its. hahaha. It is very hilarious.

2 years old

-one treat, ok? 

- monkey stinky diaper. Baby stinker diaper. She then proceeds to change all her dolls and animals diapers.

- Daniel tells her to stop faking (her crying) and Lucy point at him and in a very stern voice says, you stop faking it!

- during sacrament meeting we were telling Lucy to think of Jesus while we ate the bread and drink the water. She said Jesus loves me.  We asked her if she loves Jesus and she said yeah. 

- no thanks or no thank you 

- ok mommy?

- eats her hands and nibbles on her books.

- mom where Elsa go? Ariel go? Aladdin? She asks me every day and goes through all the princesses. 

- mommy mommy mommy!

- I like being naked!

- Jesus comes again to town.  

- said to grandma nona, ooo I love your fingers.

- says to Dan when he wasn't feeling good. Daddy you ok? Your tummy not feeling good?

- always says yes. So cute!

- oranges are dangerous

- I dangerous

- I too bigger! 

- I going on a mission

- I batman!

- 3/11 today was grandma nonas viewing. I had Lucy in my arms and pointed to grandma on her casket and told her grandma is in heaven. Lucy says no she's right der. I said her body is there but her spirit is in heaven. She again said she right der. It was so sweet and made me cry.

- 3/12 during the closing if the casket Lucy kept repeating grandma in heaven.

- 3/12 lately Lucy hasn't wanted to say prayers, but today she wanted to say the dinner and family prayer. It went something like this- "Heavenly Father thank you for Jesus, thank you for prayers, thank you for Lucy, daddy mama, Lincoln and Lucy. Name of Jesus Christ AMEN!" It was so adorable!

- we took her to see the new Cinderella movie. She has the cutest loudest commentary during the whole movie. Step mom es mean! Cinderella es sad, oh no! It's scary part! 

- 3/22 said the dinner prayer for the moss side of the family. It's Lucy's turn! She said.

- she likes to play hide and seek. But lately it's gotten scary because she will just go and hide randomly and won't answer when we call her name. She thinks it's funny. She likes to lock herself in closets and bathrooms and she can't even let herself out. 

- that's a good burp Lincoln ! 

- when Lucy woke up from her nap one day she told me mom I like your shirt it's beautiful. 

- during family home evening Daniel was talking about how Jesus catches us when we fall and he was telling her that she could cash Lincoln when he fell. She said the closing prayer and she kept saying I will catch Lincoln if he falls. It was cute. 

- been saying fox. It sounds so bad.

- I sad! She is such a drama queen.

- hi baby or lincoln. Cutie pie!

- I'm not a silly goose I'm Lucy Tervort 

- I said did you know ham comes from a cow? She says holding a piece of pineapple, did you know this comes from a cow. Moo!! Then she asks me where does a fry come from? I say a potato and she says potatoes come from doggies!

- mommy something is in my eye. As she rubs it. I say I'm sorry, what is it? She says it's the sea witch. No it's the evil queen. 

- as I'm driving home I run over a pothole. She asks what happens mama? I say I ran over a pothole. She says I'm sorry mama. 

- my baby Lincoln is so cute 

- Lucy's prayer the other day: Heavenly Father, thank you for me and for Lucy and for me and thank you for mama and daddy and me...

- we took Lucy to see dans new school. He asked her, do you like my new school? She says yes, it's nice! 

- she's obsessed with grandma. She's always asking me can we go to grandmas? When we pulled in, she 

yells grandmas house! We made it!

- I suck mama. She's trying to say I stuck 😂

- "hey daddy". I'm not your daddy, I'm your mother! "You're not my mother you mama!"

- Lucy loves to say "mama" after every question ( and she repeats each question 10x)- "chocolate milk mama", "you ok, mama?", "what happened, mama?", "play princesses mama?". She thinks she's funny and called me daddy one time. I responded saying "I'm not your daddy I'm your mother." Then she says, "you not mother, you mama!" She cracks me up! I love being her mama.

- sometimes Lucy will be talking to herself or talking to us and say what we say to her when she gets in trouble. like "you go on time out!" Or "dint shine it in eyes" or she will slap her hand and say "bad girl". It's kinda funny and sad. But at least she understands! 

- the other day I put Lucy on time out for hitting Lincoln (which she rarely does. She usually pats his head but gets a little rough sometimes). He screamed and screamed. She said sorry Lincoln and went on her way. Well she then did one of her loud screams and scared linc half to death and he started screaming. It scared Lucy and she ran and put her self on time out. 

- mom and dad you be nice to each other! We are sorry! It's okay!

- our bodies are ridiculous 

- don't talk about me!

- hi mom! I'm Lucy 

- mom, busy life.

- don't touch my bum, you stinker!

- whenever Dan toots, Lucy says, daddy you pooped.
