Soccer

It was so fun to experience my cute kiddos playing soccer this Spring. It was kind of a slow start for Lincoln– he cried at his first practice and would not participate. But it got better. He practiced at home with Daniel and Lucy and got more confidence and excitement. The next practice he had no hesitation and participated. I thought he'd be nervous for his first game, but he went right in and did great. We had so much fun watching him and were so excited when he touched the ball haha. He kept up with the group that followed the ball and occasionally got in there for a kick. He never gave up though– he always stayed with them every game. He was super great and throwing the ball in. We are proud of our little soccer player!

Lucy did great for her first time. Dan kept boasting that she is going to be his athlete. During her first couple of practices she was being real aggressive and doing a great job. Her first game she did great too. A couple of games into the season, it seemed like she got bored or lost energy, but still kept up with the ball most of the time. She got a little distracted with her pigtails one time, haha.  Near the end of the season, she got aggressive again and made some great plays! She played with a couple of her friends, Cozy and Lily. She had a great experience too! She will be a great little soccer player!

Memorial Day weekend in St George

It was SO nice to go to St. George. We hadn't been for over a year. It was nice and warm and so good to get out of the rainy cold from back home. We stayed with Dave and Kathy at the condo. On Saturday we met up with Mindy and Trevor and all went to Gunlock Falls. It was so beautiful! And it was busy haha. We played in the water for awhile and watched some people jump off the cliffs. It was a good time.
We had a fun time hanging out with Dave and Kathy. We went out to dinner, went to Thunder Junction park, the kids rode bikes and scooters. On Sunday, Tony and Emily came and stayed. The kids had fun playing together. On Monday we went and saw the new movie Aladdin. It was so good! We had such a great time.

Lucys Kindergarten Program

Lucy's Kindergarten program was darling. They sang the cutest songs. Our favorite was the Banana song. Mrs Brady showed us a slideshow of what they all wanted to be when they grow up. Lucy said she wanted to be an ice skater. Haha she's never been ice skating. Her best friend Cozy put a worker at Lucy's pizza haha. They sang a lot more songs amd then Lucy got her graduation certificate. We just love her teacher, Mrs. Brady.

Lucy's Dance Recital

Lucy has had a fun year of dancing at Dansation. This year their recital had a circus theme and both of their dances were after "fire". They did a tap dance to "fire under my feet" and a ballet dance to "ring of fire". Lucy had such a cute red costume and she did great as always. I love watching her dance!

Graham's Birthday and Party

Mindy always plans the cutest parties. This year Graham wanted a puppy party. Everyone got to pick out a puppy and adopt it. They gave them a name, decorated their house, made them a collar and did an obstacle course with them. Lucy named her doggy Lilly and Lincoln named his Duke. They had so much fun! Happy 6th birthday Graham!

Lincoln's Preschool Graduation

I was a little nervous that Lincoln would cry again during his performance. But I told him he could stand by Ava and then he could be brave. And he was! He held her hand (or tried to) the entire time. He was also holding his friend Jackson's time the whole time. He didn't sing a ton, but he did a great job! It was entertaining to watch him and Ava interact. Ava is an entertainer!

We are so proud of Lincoln for completing his first year at Wee-Wolves! He had a great teacher, Miss Jessica and we loved her assistant, Abby. She's our favorite! He was so excited to show me his book from the year.

Our 8th Wedding Anniversary!

8 Years! Wow. Time has flown being married to this guy. It has been a wonderful 8 years. We actually got to celebrate our anniversary on our anniversary this year. I planned it this year. We went downtown to Settebello and had a yummy pizza dinner. After we went to the Utah Symphony and went to see Star Wars. I was a little skeptical since it was star wars, but it was actually really cool to watch the first movie and have the symphony play the score. It was super cool! We had a really fun anniversary!

Mother's Day

On Mother's Day, Dan let me sleep in and then I got a surprise breakfast when I woke up! They made me a heart shaped chocolate chip pancake. It was Lucy's idea to use a cookie cutter to make it heart shaped. She's so creative. After we went to church! It was my first time back in Relief Society. At first I was really missing Primary, but by the end of relief society I noticed that I felt the spirit and I actually got something out of church. It was great. But I do miss those sweet kids.

After church, we went over to wish Kathy a happy mothers day. We visited with her and the Horrocks family for a little bit. We brought her flowers. Then we went to my mom's. We had dinner and celebrated my mom's birthday!

Jackson 6 months

Jackson at 6 months!
  • He is 16 pounds and 25 inches.
  • Has a cold and an ear infection 😥
  • We have made the transition from swaddle to sleep sack. The first few nights were kind of tough and he cried himself to sleep, but now he is doing awesome with it!
  • He’s starting to sit up by himself. He prefers to sit up with support from his boppy or bumbo.
  • He still has blonde hair and blue eyes!
  • He’s always eyeing our food when we eat. If I give him a taste, he whines until he gets some more.
  • He is so drooly! He will soak through bib after bib!
  • Loves baths but hates getting dressed after.
  • Always wakes In the morning so happy!
  • Does not like to nap in his crib.
  • Rolling from back to belly but can’t roll back over so now he’s sleeping on his belly.
