Lucy @ 5 Months

Some things about Lucy girl:

-She weighs 15 pounds.
-She loves to grab her toes now and suck on them. She loves to suck on everything and she drools, drools, drools. She sucks on her arm so much that she gives herself hickeys.
-She has rolled over a few times from tummy to back, but still hates to be on her tummy.
-She knows her name and will (most of the time) turn her head when you call her name.
-She laughs whenever you blow on her tummy or her neck.
-She tried rice cereal for her first time. Hated it. Then tried oatmeal and hated it. So we will be forcing it to her until she likes it. :)
-She takes a bottle pretty well now.
-She is sleeping through the night still. Totally awesome!
-She loves to play with colorful objects especially her toys. But then after about a minute of sucking on it, she gets over stimulated by the rattling and the noise of the toy  and bursts out crying. So....we just give her binkie and her burp rag to play with.
-She likes to suck on carrots, oranges, strawberries. She loves it (especially strawberry jam). She always watches us intently as we eat.
-She is getting really strong and almost sitting up by herself, but we still have to put pillows around her.
-She loves to smile with her tongue out. It is so cute!

Photo overload!

Book Fair

Every year Chuck-A-Rama has the opportunity to participate in the KSL Read Today Book Fair. It is a lot of work, but ends up being so fun! This year it was at the Gateway which is so busy compared to when it was at the U. We had a line pretty much the whole day from 10:30-7. It was nuts! We had tons of kids wanting to spin the wheel and get a prize and all the parents wanted to get free kids meals for their kids. I think we were most popular :) It really was a fun day seeing the kids faces light up when they landed on 'mini squirt gun' or 'free book'. It was also fun to see the different and weird people that come to these things. Mindy, Remi, Pax and Graham came to visit. Paxton had fun helping me hand out prizes.

There also was the chalk festival going on. It was so cool! These artists are amazing! They were pretty much out the whole day too working on their masterpieces.

Julie and I had a fun day!

Park City Staycation

I love Park City. My family decided to take a weekend "staycation" up there and stay at our cabin that we rarely use. We seriously need to use it more because it is so beautiful up there!

First off we went and rode the Alpine Coaster and the Slide. Sooo much fun! And super busy too. There were a ton of people there. We took shifts watching the kids and standing in line to ride the rides. Daniel, my mom and I took the first shift of watching the kids. Then we stood in line for 45 minutes to get on the coaster ride. After finally getting on, we all got stuck behind the slowest girl. She was afraid to go fast so it was a pretty lame ride. Well after getting to the bottom, we told the worker how we got stuck behind this girl. Well she was awesome and let us go again! The second time was so much better cuz we got to go fast the whole time. Loved it!

By the time we got done with the coaster, the line died down at the slide and so we all went right on. Daniel and I raced and believe it or not, I won! I think he got a little nervous that he would fall off if he went too fast.

The rest of the day, we spent at the cabin swinging on the swings, taking rides on the side by side and eating lots of good food! It was a fun relaxing vacation!
