Dad's Retirement party/ 60th Birthday

My dad's retirement has been a long time coming! He sold the business back in December but has stuck around helping where he could until his 60th birthday. His friends at the office and our family threw him a retirement party the day before his birthday. He was worried people weren't going to come, but that was such a silly thought because there are so many people who love my dad and came to support him. It was a good time to see him conversing with his old buddies. It was fun for me too to see my old coworkers and other people that I used to work with. I do miss working there. The party was a good time! The corporate office got him a new rifle that he loved. They know him so well. It's been a hard chapter to close for him, but looking forward to him opening new ones. This quote is perfect for him, "Retirement is when you stop living at work and start working at living."

On his 60th birthday, our family took him out to Black Bear Diner. The food wasn't great and it took forever, but it was good to see each other and to celebrate my dad! We all pitched in and got him an ice machine. He was pretty excited when he opened it! We are pretty lucky to have him in our lives! Love you dad!

First Days of School

8/20/19 It's Lucy's first day of 1st Grade! She was very excited for school to start and to go all day and have 2 recesses and lunch! We walked to school with her other first grade friends, Kenzie, Benson and Cozy. Benson and Lucy are in the same class this year. She has Mrs. McDonald. Her other friends, Amelia, Lily, and Blakely are in her class too. I was so excited to see her when 3:40 rolled around. Me and the boys missed her so much. When we came home, she walked upstairs and fell on the couch so dramatically. "That was the longest day ever!" she said. She said she did have a good time though and said having school lunch was her favorite part of the day. 

9/4/19- Lincoln's first day of Pre-School. This is Lincoln's second year going to the Wee Wolves preschool at Timpanogos High School. This year he has Mrs. Patti. We love her! Lincoln has been looking forward to going to school again because Lucy is. We don't know anyone in his class, yet. He said he had a wonderful first day and loved playing outside on the playground! 

After his first week, he was pretty down that he didn't have any friends yet besides a girl named Swayzie. We practiced making friends. He said he tried making friends the next time and still had no luck. Well just yesterday on 9/20, he said, "Mom I made a friend! His name is Griffin!" He was so excited! 

BSB Concert

Take me back to my childhood! Backstreet boys are the best! I can't believe how many songs I knew and sang at the top of my lungs. They still got it! I was so impressed with how they could move still. They were so funny. I had a blast with my sisters! It was SUCH A FUN NIGHT!!! BACKSTREETS BACK ALRIGHT!

Girls Night

We tried planned an overnight vacation somewhere, but didn't end up working out because of our little babies. But we did get to go out on a fun evening together! We got pedicures, did some shopping and went out to eat at The Garage Grill. It was fun to hang out with my sisters and mom! 

Teddy Bear Clinic

This is one of my kids favorite summer activities. We waited in line for an hour, but it worth it. Lincoln named his dog Pringles and Lucy named her bear Aurora. They weighed them, diapered them, took their x-rays, did surgery on them, gave them shots, and bandaged up their arms. They loved it. But they loved getting the treats the most. We had fun with our friends Liam and Kenzie and cousins Luke and Annie!

Jackson 9 Months

9 months

• He is crawling! His little knees are getting so red from the rig burn. He hesitated to go on the tile for a while but now he likes crawling on it.
• He can pull himself up to standing! He really loves pulling himself up on the stair railing and on any dresser. He loves the knobs and tries to suck on them. He likes the knobs on lucys dresser best because they are colorful and spin.
• He is sleeping through the night most nights! He takes 2 naps during the day. 
• He still has no teeth. 
• He loves our vacuum, deebot. He will crawl after him and smile.
• He is starting to dance! He bounces while standing and waves his hand up and down. It’s the cutest thing ever. 
• He is an angry eater. You have to get food for him fast or he will scream. He really gets angry when you can’t give him sweet stuff fast enough like ice cream or slushee haha. He prefers real food over baby food. He’s great at picking it up all by himself and feeding it to himself. 
• He loves his daddy! When Dan comes home he screams until dan holds him- haha so cute! 
• He likes to get in personal space like when Lincoln is playing on the iPad he will come and tap on the screen. It really bugs Lincoln- and so the brotherly love begins. 
• I’ve been nursing him about 4 times a day still. He’s been rude though and punches me and scratches me.
