Lucy @ 3 Months

Some things about Lucy at 3 months:

- She is 13 pounds.
-She will almost always smile at you if you get her eyes locked on you. She loves to smile with her tongue out. It’s so stinkin cute.
-She loves to suck on her hands. It’s not just her thumb, it’s her whole hand or both hands!
-She “talks” a lot too especially after she eats. That is when she is happiest. She will have a mini conversation with you.
-She is strong! I can pull her hands to help her sit up, but instead she stands up! Her neck is so strong now!
-She isn’t taking a bottle anymore. :( No good! I nursed her too long and spoiled her, so now we have to train her to like a bottle again.
-She is still sleeping through the night. Bedtime is 9:30 and she wakes up between 6:30-8. Awesome!
-She loves to watch TV! When she has a freak out or gets fussy, we hold her up to the TV and she calms down. She’s mesmerized by it! We call it TV therapy.
-She is very happy and calm (for the most part). She is a good baby! We love her so much!

Check out her 3 month photoshoot here!

Temple Time Capsules

Our ward got split a few months ago cuz it was enormous (600+ people), so they went a little crazy with new callings (obviously). I got called to be the second counselor in the Young Womens. I was so relieved to stay in the YWs! But a little overwhelmed too with having a new baby and all. But I really do love it!

Last week, I planned the YW combined activity. I got all the supplies to make temple time capsules. All the leaders brought their wedding memorabilia –wedding dress, temple dress, books, pictures... It was fun to pull out my dress again! Anyways, I gave a small talk and then told the girls what to do. They decorated their cans, cut out pictures of wedding dresses, flowers, etc from magazines, wrote down qualities they want in their future husband. It was fun!

The big 2-4

It was a wonderful birthday this year! I'm so happy to have an awesome husband and cute little daughter!

Daniel and Lucy gave me some yummy treats that morning, then Lucy and I hung out until we all went to Tucanos for dinner. It was sure good and filling! After, Dave, Kathy and Kaylee came over and brought me presents! It was a great birthday!

Then on Friday, we had family over to have cake and ice cream! It was fun to have company over.
Here's to being one year older!

cute pregnant ladies! Both due soon!

Spring Break in California

We decided to drive to California for Daniel's spring break. Lucy hasn't met GG Mathews yet, so we figured this would be a great time to go see her! Grandma loved her! And Lucy loved Grandma!

We had a fun time while we were there. The weather was perfect! Daniel's parents, Kaylee, Jamie and her family were there too. We had a fun time all together. We went to Santa Monica pier and to Knottsberry Farm. It was fun and Lucy did so great!

Lucy's daddy won this for her in a basketball shooting game.

We did a lot of waiting with Lucy girl while others went on rides. But we didn't mind! We got our turn eventually! It was fun to take Lucy girl out since she was in her carseat so much.

It was hard finding semi-private places to feed her, so one of our bright ideas was feeding her in this wagon at one of the shows. Not a good idea. It was a western show and so there were loud gun bangs which scared Lucy. Then the show ended early and Lucy was still eating so.... we hung out a bit.

Easter in St. George

A little late on posting this...

For Easter weekend, my family and I went to St. George. Most of the days were spent out on the porch hanging out, playing cards, shooting bb guns, and enjoying the warm weather. It was wonderful to relax! For Easter, we went to church (the 11 o'clock hour was packed!) then we had a yummy Easter dinner and then had an egg hunt for Paxton! Afterwards Lucy and Paxton opened presents from Grandma and Grandpa. Lucy got 2 cute outfits and a book. The next day was not so great weather, but we went out anyways. We went to the park by the tabernacle and walked through the stream there and then went on a carousel ride and met disney princesses! So fun!
