Timpanogos vs. North Sanpete

Dan was positive his team would win this game. North Sanpete is a small school in Mount Pleasant. Little did we know, they had some pretty good, big players. Again, in the first half it was 7-35 them. Yikes. I thought it was going to be a blowout again. But the second half we started to come back! We scored the whole second half and they didn't at all. But in the end, they still had more points. The final score was 28-35. So close!

We had a whole crew come out to support. The Horrocks, Spanglers, Trevor & Sandee and Jake, and Tony's Family all came. Jason's family and another coach's family sat by us too. It was fun! Lucy was entertained the whole time. It was nice to have the extra help. Go Timberwolves!

Palisades

All week long our lives are centered around football, so once in awhile it is nice to do something else for a change. Saturday we met up with my family in Manti. They were camping at Palisades. It is pretty there. We took out the tubes and floated on the lake, then played in the sand (well mud). We had a nice relaxing day!

Game #1: Timpanogos @ Kearns

Dan had his first game in August 21. Timpanogos at Kearns. I was a little nervous for his debut. When we got there , it was 21-0 I believe. Not looking good. By the end of the first quarter or was 31-0. Yikes. Not good. Next quarter they scored a touchdown. Phew! We are seeing progress. Well by the end of the game, timp had put 42 points up on the board. It didn't beat kearns 62, but I was still proud of them for scoring that much. Dan got some great feedback. Things are looking up for next week!
My sweet grandma came to help me with my crazy kids. Tony and Annabelle came too. It was fun to have them there!

Millions of Peaches...

One of the benefits of living in this house are the fruit trees. We moved in ready for peach season. Yes! Peaches are my favorite fruit. Sandee came over one day and we picked 2 buckets full of peaches. I had no idea what to do with them all so Sandee and Mindy came over one day and we went peach crazy!
We made peach jam, a peach dessert, we froze 4 bags of peaches, made 2 ice cube trays full of baby food, and dehydrated some peaches. Plus we ate fresh peaches all day while we were doing this. We love peaches!

Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Dave and Kathy had to come home because Dave had to get 2 more stents put in his heart. :( We were very worried, but excited that we got to see them. It was such a happy reunion when they came over to Dan's school to see all of us. Lincoln has only met them when he was a newborn. He loved them and was so smily with them. Yes!

Farm Country

My sisters and I decided to meet up and take the kids to Farm Country. I broke down and bought a Thanksgiving Point pass. Yay! I'm happy I live closer to that. I just need to get more motivation and go more often. It takes a lot to take two kids out by myself. The kids really enjoyed themselves. They loved looking at the animals, riding on the hay ride, and riding the ponies.

While we were looking at the horses, Lucy wanted a snack so I put her on the handle bar of my single stroller. I do this all the time and as long as I hold the handle bar as well, then it doesn't tip. Well, I let go to show this girl my diaper bag and BOOM, the stroller tipped. Lucy fell off and started crying, but....Lincoln was sleeping and was not buckled in. Lincoln slid out of his car seat onto the cement and fell back and hit his head. I was FREAKING SCARED. I lunged for Lincoln, not even thinking about my 2 year old. I was so worried. He cried and cried and I cried. I felt so bad and was so shaken up. Mindy grabbed Lucy in her arms and pretty soon was fine. Lincoln was fine too. I think I was the one most hurt with it all. Man. Bad mommy moment. I will never do that again. I barely take out my single stroller anymore. Ugh.

Sundance Play

Daniel and I finally went on a date. It has been a long time and it was much needed! Especially with the craziness of moving and football going on, it was nice to get away. We had the opportunity to go to a play up at Sundance with IMG. We advertise with them. They treated us to a nice meal, then we got cookies and a blanket and got to watch The Wizard of Oz. We were enjoying it when all of a sudden it started to rain. They took a 5 minute break and the rain ceased. We enjoyed almost all the rest of the play when, near the end, it started pouring! I'm glad we brought an umbrella. It did not stop this time, but neither did the actors. They were soaked. We decided to skip out a little early. We ran down the mountain in the pouring rain, then caught the shuttle to our car. It was quite a fun adventure. Yay for dates!

Lindon Parade

One Saturday morning, we went to the Lindon Parade. Since we have been active parade goers in Salem, Elk Ridge, and Payson, I was excited to have a parade close to our new home! It was fun! When the Timpanogos Football Team Float came by, they spotted Dan and pretty soon Taffies went flying! I had to shield Lincoln to keep him from getting hit. They went nuts! When they got closer, they started throwing candy at Lucy's feet and chanting Lucy, Lucy, Lucy. It was darling. All the kids around us looked at her with jealousy. haha. We shared the love. It was so fun! I can tell this community will be so fun when we get to know more people.

The rest of the day we played in our awesome new backyard with cousin Jake. They love the swings!
