Lucys 6th birthday

Our little sweet girl is 6 years old. I cannot believe it. Stop growing up! Grandma and Grandpa came buy and surprised Lucy was a cute little stuffed doggy that she named Muffin. Lincoln loved it too. Later that week, Lucy went out to lunch and shopping with Grandma Peggy. She got a new outfit for her doll and a few other fun things. She loves hanging out with Grandma.

I told Lucy that this year we'd have a small party and could invite one friend. She changed her mind constantly, but decided to invite her best bud, Cozy. We all went to Color Me Mine first. Lucy painted a little Fairy House that we thought was $12 but was $21. Dan helped her with it and it turned out really cute. Lincoln painted a whale and Cozy painted a cupcake. They all had a fun time! That place is so expensive! After, by Lucy's request, we went to Lucy's Pizza. The kids were being so silly while we waited for our food. They were cracking me up. After eating the pizza, they surprised Lucy with a nutella chocolate calzone. It was delicious!

Lucy's birthday fell on a Sunday, so we invited the whole family over for cake and icecream that night. Just about everyone came to celebrate Lucy! It was so fun!
We love our Lucy girl!

Jackson blessing

We were so lucky to have our family there to see Jack get blessed. Dan gave a beautiful blessing! It was a good day! We decided not to do anything after (sorry third kid). It was stress free for mama! We love our little Jackie!

Jackson 2 Months

Jack is 2 months old:

  • found his hands and likes to suck on them.
  • Has the biggest smiles and almost laughs! Afraid when Lucy tries.
  • He’s been very particular with who holds him. Lately he hasn’t liked anyone else holding him, even daddy and he will cry until o can hold him and calm him down. He’s a mommy’s boy. It’s cute, but hard, cuz mama needs a break!
  • 9:00 Final feeding
  • 5:00 am night feeding
  • 8:00 wakes
  • Jack is doing amazing with his sleep schedule. An 8 hour stretch most nights. He wakes up around 5 and is starving. Then he goes right back to sleep and wakes up around 7:30-8 but isn’t hungry until about 9. He wakes up so happy in the mornings.
  • He will be the happiest baby and will be smiling one second and then will start giving the sad lip and burst into tears. Over stimulation maybe? I don’t know but usually it’s only mama that can calm him down.

Lucy and Jake skiing

Lucy has been looking to this day all year. We went once last year and she couldn't wait to go skiing again. This year we invited cousin Jake and Trevor. It was Jake's first time. They both did so great! It took Lucy a minute to pick it up again- I think it was because it was a lot busier and she was afraid to run into people. But near the end, she took off her edgy wedgie and went down just fine! She went up the tow rope by herself a couple of times too. She might be ready for the big hills. We will see! I'm not sure I'm ready though. Phew...it is a lot of work!
