Happy 4th!

Rocky Mountain Raceway puts on an awesome show plus an awesome firework show afterwards. My dad, Mind, Remi, Paxton, Dan and I all got to go!

It was Paxton's first time! He was mesmerized by the cars but wasn't too sure about the loud noise and definitely was not sure about the huge red head phones covering his little ears. But he got used to them and ended up loving it!

He wasn't feeling to good that day and threw up on mommy earlier. So when Dan was rubbing his tummy, trying to make him laugh, he threw up on his dad a few moments later. Poor kid.

Funny glasses. But they were necessary :) I love this picture of my dad. He decided to grow out his beard while mom was away.

Funny kid.

My favorite part of the night was the trains! Gas in the front, nothing in the middle and brakes in the back car. They are so fun to watch and so intense sometimes when they barely miss hitting each other. Chuck-A-Rama sponsors a car even.

And beautiful fireworks at the end. Twas a lovely evening! Happy Fourth of July! I love my country!

Extreme Home Makeover Benefit Concert

Did you hear? Extreme Makeover came to Daybreak, Utah a couple of weeks ago! They picked the wonderful Gomez family to build a house for. They are going through some hardships and struggles, but stay positive. I can tell they are amazing people and an amazing family. You can read their story here.

Anyways, my friend Madi and her mom, Jenny were some of the head volunteers. They were in charge of all the food for the volunteers. It was a lot of work and they stayed up countless hours making sure everyone was well fed on site. To add to their load, Jenny decided to throw a benefit concert and silent auction to raise money for the family at last minute. She called up her friend, Jason Hewlett to help find performers. And to everyone's surprise, Thurl Bailey, David Osmond and Alex Boye offered their time and their talents to this cause. The concert was a success!

Jenny Thompson and Jason Hewlitt

Mary Jane and Madi. Dan and Alex Boye.

Madi always impresses me. She donated so much time and effort to help this family and make everything run smooth. She is awesome! Love you girly.

Jason Hewlett dressed up as Billy Joel. He did so many funny impressions of singers and actors. My favorite was his impression of a raptor. Check it out here!

Michael Moloney from Extreme Home Makeover came and talked to the audience. He told us more about the Gomez family and how to help Jonah.

David Osmond and Thurl Bailey

Alex Boye and his piano man, Mark.

Dan and I and Mary Jane and Parker.

The roommates back together! I miss these girls!

Silent auction posters :)

The house! The show should air in September or October!
Kait and I put on the blue volunteer shirts and took a tour inside :) So pretty inside! Make sure you watch this episode!

Tell 'em about your Softball Team

Dan, Tony and Brad and the rest of their team had a lot of fun every Monday night playing softball. It was fun to watch their games and cheer for them. They were very good! They were the Payson league champions!

Glitz and Glam Party

My cute niece, Mckelle, is turning 10 soon! She planned a fun spa party for all of her friends!

First we ate! We had all of Mckelle's favorites foods: pretzels, cheetos, chocolate dipped strawberries, mini sandwiches, and yummy strawberry lemonade.

It was a big girl party only, so we had to kick these 2 kids out! But I couldn't resist taking a picture of cute Bradly and Katie.

Time to party! The first station, the girls enjoyed a nice bubble bath for their feet!

The second station, they got relaxing facials by the wonderful Mama Jamie.

Station number 3: painting fingernails!

Station 4: Toenails painted by Grandma Kathy!

And station number 5, they all got their make-done by the lovely Kaylee.

Time to open presents! It was so fun to see Mckelle's reaction to all of her presents. She is so funny! She got lots of cool things. Lucky girl! Her friends sure do love her.
All the girls. They were so nice and polite!

Yummy brownies and ice cream.

And then the glamour shots! (Against the shower curtain back drop :) )

Happy Birthday Mckelle! You are a wonderful girl and are growing to be a beautiful young lady!
Love you!

Relay for Life

My beautiful sister volunteered at the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Event at the Murray High School last Friday. She donated the money she made from putting feathers in people's hair. Anyone could pick a pink or purple feather to put in. She got a lot of girls who wanted them and also one boy who wanted a rat tail! That was a first!

Remi, Dan and I went to help, but mainly just watched Paxton. Paxton was having fun dancing to the awesome "Kiss This" group.

There was a lot of other fun things to do there. They had live entertainment, competitions, blow up slides, and they had the mascots come! Paxton was hesitant when he saw Cosmo, and as you can see, he didn't like him very much. (He loved Swoop though!)
