Remembering the Prophets

Dan and I got new callings in our ward a few weeks ago. I am the 2nd counselor in the YW's and Dan is the 2nd counselor in the YM's. We are very excited!
Anyways, last Saturday, the young men and young women gathered together at the Salt Lake Cemetery. We walked to each of the prophet's graves and told a short story about each of them. It was a cool experience. We have had amazing leaders on this earth!

18 and an adult?

Erika is 18 years old now. It is crazy how time flies by. Now she is going to college. What? When did this all happen?
We celebrated her birthday at the Mayan. We all don't really care for the food, but we wanted the Mayan Adventure, as they called it. Paxton was so intrigued by the environment and the divers. It was cute. We had a good time! And of course, we all came home with boxes of food because we got stuffed off of the chips and salsa. Typical. But anyways, Happy Birthday Erika! I have enjoyed 18 wonderful years with you! I love you very much!

likes the big scary snake, then doesn't, then oh he's ok again :)
Couldn't resist taking tons of pictures of this little guy

the bride to be

Mary Jane is getting married! Wonderful Sydney and Ali planned her bridal shower to celebrate her upcoming event. We had yummy chicken salad sandwiches, fruit, and salad for dinner and tasty cake pops for dessert. After, MJ opened her presents. She got some lovely lingerie and some cute decorations. Then we played the chubby bunny game where we asked Mary Jane questions about Parker. If she got the questions wrong, she had to chew a piece of gum. She did pretty well, but her mouth was still full! Then we played a game that combines catch phrase and charades together: wedding style. It was very fun! I am very excited for Mary Jane. Parker is one lucky guy! I have loved getting to know her over the past couple years and think she is SUPER! She is going to be a beautiful bride!

This is BLOOCH

Our new addition to the house: a fish tank. Dan brought it home after being at his school for the year. I wasn't too sure about it because it takes up room and it is a hastle to keep up. But... now I like it. I love looking and listening to the sounds. It is in a sense, soothing.
This is BLOOCH. The bug-eyed goldfish. The kids next door always come over to see him. He is the main attraction of the tank. All the other fish are boring to watch.

Well this past week, our beloved BLOOCH passed away. He lived a good long couple of years sucking the poo off of rocks, hoarding the food away from the other fish, and looking out at us with those huge ginormous eyes. We will miss him. Rest in peace in your watery grave BLOOCH

And now of course, the tank is dirty and the other fish are boring. We want them to die now. Sorry fishiesPosted by Picasa

Yee-Haw!

Dan and I invited some friends of ours and went to the Fiesta Days Rodeo in Spanish Fork. It was packed full of people. It was definitely a lot bigger rodeo than the Mount Pleasant one I experienced. There were riders from everywhere. They all were very good. The bull riding of course was still my favorite. The bulls were crazy. I also liked the barrel racing, I had never seen it before. It was a very fun rodeo. We had a great time!
