Egg Hunt and Kambree's Party

We love to party. Lucy does even more. She went to her cousin, Kambree's barbie party. They each got to pick out a barbie and make clothes for them. They got makeup, they did a hunt and they ate lots of yummy treats. Lucy had a ball.

Our neighborhood did a small egg hunt too. We have the best neighborhood and lucky that our kids are all friends. I hope it stays that way!

We also went to Uncle Tony's egg hunt at the Veteran's center. This one is always a hit because our bags get over filled with candy. The kids love it!

Lucy SKI!

I took Lucy up skiing for her very first time! We went to Sundance on a very warm day where we could ski without our coats! It was a beautiful day! Lucy was fearless! She surprised me. I was planning on going down with her, but she went all by herself and did awesome. I told her to put her hands on her knees and that kept her forward. When she fell down, she waited patiently for me to help her up. She was never sad! She even did the tow rope all by herself. She wanted to go again and again and definitely outlasted me. I had to call it quits because I was TIRED! I think teaching her for 2 hours was way more exhausting than a whole day of skiing. But it was all worth it! Can't wait until next season!

Skiing Mamas

Dan was so nice to let me go skiing all day with my girlfriends, Brittany and Jan. It was a pretty cold day at Sundance, but not too terrible! The back side was way better than the front side and had a lot better snow. The snow has been so sparse this year. It really was so fun to get back on the slopes. I love hanging out with these girls too! I'm so lucky to have awesome neighbors who are interested in the same things I am!

Lucy and Lincoln photo shoot

Instead of renting a studio or going outside this year, I decided to keep it easy and do an in-home photo shoot. I photographed the kiddos in their rooms doing the things they love. They're so cute!

Lincoln is Potty Trained!

I've been dreading this day for awhile and have had super low expectations thinking he will be much harder to potty train than Lucy was. I reread the pdf of the same method I used for Lucy. I really like this method and it works! We started by throwing his diapers away (which he wasn't too happy about) and introducing cool new underwear to him. Then we let him sit on his potty and told him if he went he got one starburst and 1 sticker. Then once he fills his sticker chart, he got a prize. These incentives really work! I stood by his side for pretty much a whole week asking him to tell me when he needed to go pee. This week is hard for me, because I can't go anywhere or get anything done productive. He didn't do too terrible his first week. He was always willing to try, he just needed to get used to the "feeling" of when he needed to go. He wet his bed pretty much every night, but had fewer and fewer accidents a day. By the end of the week, he was getting it! We had a few set backs and we still do, but he's been such a good boy telling me when he needs to go. He still prefers his potty at home, but does fine on a normal toilet, but he is really scared of the automatic flushers because they're so loud haha. I'm proud of this little guy! Yay for no more diapers!
