Spring Break went a little differently than planned. We planned to go to camping in Moab with Dan's whole family. We planned to do fun Easter egg hunts with the fam and have Easter dinner. But...COVID-19 put our plans upside down...which is fine. We had fun anyways! We went camping at 5 Mile Pass. We went on lots of UTV rides, played t-ball, rode the dune buggy, and ate yummy food around the campfire. While it was very dusty, we enjoyed ourselves. It was so nice to have a change of scenery. Jack sure loved being outside, but fell a ton and got hurt. He loved putting rocks and dirt in his mouth and loved going on 4 wheeler rides with daddy. My parents came out for a ride with us. It was good to spend some time with them. It was nice to get away, because it was nice to come home and appreciate my house again.

California Trip during the Pandemic
Our country has declared a pandemic.
Starting in Wuhan, China is January an outbreak of Covid-19 spread.
I never thought it would reach here, but it has. First, Trump stopped all travel going and coming from China.
We heard it started to spread to Japan, Korea, and Italy.
People travelling from these places back to the US were quarantined for 14 days.
Everything seemed to be taken care of, but then cases started to arise in California and Washington.
Now today there is currently 29 cases in Utah who have tested positive for the coronavirus, but there are probably more.
Trump said today to limit groups of 10 or more to not gather together.
He has told us to stay home as much as possible.
Last week Our Governor, Herbert, cancelled all schooling and groups of 100 or more gathering together.
That affects so many things but especially church. Our worship will now be at home.
Our prophet has allowed all worthy priesthood melchizedek holders to bless and administer the sacrament in their own home.
Our prophet has been preparing us for this for over a year now.
We are so blessed to have modern day revelation from Jesus Christ to a living prophet.
When all this was going down, we were in california visiting Grandma Mathews.
We had plans to drive to Anaheim that night to go to Disneyland for the weekend.
Unfortunately Disneyland closed their doors on March 14, so we decided to not go on the 13th.
Plus it was rainy so it made it an easier decision not to go.
I took it really hard and was so sad about it but my kids took the news just fine and were happy to stay at Grandma’s for a couple more days.
Since it was rainy, we felt cooped up inside.
But any chance we got, we went outside to play on the cars.
We also went to a movie and to visit Dan’s cousin, Todd.
We made the best of it and it was so good to spend those days with Grandma and Kathy.
On the way home, we stopped at the 7 Magic mountains and then spent a day in St. George.
We went to Snow Canyon and scootered on a trail.
It was beautiful and so nice to get out in the nice weather!

Lincoln’s birthday and party
After Lucy and Daddy got home from school, we gave him his gifts. Dan and I gave him a brand new Spider Man bike. It's a little too big for him right now but he will grow into it. Grandma and Grandpa Tervort came to visit. They brought Lincoln some Paw Patrol gifts and visited with us. Then we all went to Chuck-A-Rama for Lincoln's birthday dinner (his request). His waitress was so sweet and made him a birthday dessert plate and then sang to him. I loved his facial expressions as they sang to him. He is so funny. We love our Lincoln cutie! I can't believe he is 5 and going to Kindergarten in the Fall!
We invited 9 of Lincoln's buddies to come Paw-ty! Lincoln is obsessed with Paw Patrol right now, so we themed his party all around that. We played games first–Pin the tail on Marshall, the Pup pup boogie, and did a cake walk. Then we did a pinata! After we had cake and icecream and he opened his presents. He was so excited after he opened each present. He gave each of his friends a hug.
Lincoln is 5!
Lincoln is such a happy, silly kid. He makes a lot of jokes and does a lot of potty talk. And as you can see by all the scratches, missing teeth, and his scarred lip, he falls a lot. He is adventurous, loves to be outside, play soccer and baseball, ride his bike and scooter, loves to play with his best bud Liam, loves the shows Super Wings, PJ Masks and Paw Patrol. He is very smart and enjoys going to Preschool. He can write his names and knows his number 1-20 and almost all of the letters. We love our Lincoln Daniel!
Funny things Lincoln has said:
"Mom my wee wee is a circle" | "Why did the kids go to bed? Because the bed didn’t come to them." | "Why did the toast go to the doctor? To get butter." | "I was born ready!" | "Mom let me show you How it’s done." Precedes to fall. "That is not how it’s done." | "Booty launcher!" | "Mom mom I made a friend today!" | "Mom I am seriously not kidding." | "I am a grump." | "When I grow up I want to be a storm trooper at Disneyland." | "I am something and you are nothing." | "If you want your bum to be wet then let your bum be wet." | "Did you know that no means yes and yes means no?" | "My superhero was going to get baptized." | "Lucy you’re a human not a woman."

Skiing at Brighton
Erika, Remi and I took Paxton, Graham and Lucy night skiing at Brighton. We all got in free because of our Get Out Passes that we bought this year. It was Graham's very first time skiing! He did really good and stuck with Remi on the bunny hill most of the time, but he did go on the big hill once at the end. Erika, Pax, Lucy and I went on the bunny hill about 5 times until they got more confidence and then went on the big hill. There was one part of the mountain that was pretty steep for Lucy and Pax, but they got down it after a minor freak out from Lucy, but once we got to the bottom they both wanted to go down again. The second time, they went down without any hesitation. They did so well and can't wait to go again!
