24th of July

Julie invited us over for food and fireworks at her house for the 24th. We lit sparklers and some small fireworks, but we sure enjoyed the aerials from the neighbor. It's a lot better when someone else pays and lights them off.

Bear Lake!

Another year at Bear Lake and it was a blast! We stayed at the KOA again this year and in our new trailer! We went to the beach and played with our new toys- our paddleboard and kayak. We also played in the sand, canoed, relaxed on the tube, went boating and played 9-square. It was a little colder this year than usual on the beach– we got rained on and it was kind of cold. But that didn't stop us from having a fun time.
On the 4th of July, the kids played at the playground, on the jumping pillow, did crafts, played golf, and at night we lit some sparklers and played with these cool glow in the dark helicopters.
The rest of the vacation was so fun. We did a little bike ride, went out to dinner, ate raspberry shakes, played games, watched a movie in our trailer... The highlight of the trip for me was going to the Minnetonka Caves. It was so cool to see! It was 40 degrees in there so it was a bit chilly. We climbed a ton of stairs and saw really cool rock formations. Our tour guide was awesome!
Another highlight was the talent show. The kids performed dances, sang songs, did a comedy act, played the guitar– it was so fun to watch!
It was a great vacation!!

Jackson 8 Months

• Has the strongest little fingers and sharp nails that I can never keep short. He always grabs my face or under my arm and it is so painful! 
• Sitting up really good! Not quite crawling but moving around on the floor. He’s so close! 
• Cousin poured hot water on his head accidentally 
• First time out of the country! We went to Canada. Also went to the ranch and bear lake. 
• Said dada! 
• Likes to play on the ground with his toys. Likes his dads childhood helicopter and the singing dinosaur. 
• Loves to go boating! We just bought grandpas boat and jack loves to ride and have his hair blow in the wind. He even fell asleep in moms arms which never happens. He’s likes the flotation swimming suit a lot better than the swim jacket.
