Jackson's Birthday Party

I decided to keep it pretty low key for Jack's first birthday. (Third child probs- sorry Jack!) I invited Jack's best cousin friends and their moms over and we played in the basement. Then we ate lunch and he opened up some presents. It was very nice that they all came to support Jack!

Once daddy and Lucy got home from school, we all went to Coconut Cove. Jack and I played together in the baby area- he liked climbing up the stairs and going down the mini slide. Lucy and Lincoln played with their friends who just happened to be there. 

When we got home I made Jack his favorite meal: Spaghetti. He eats that stuff so fast and always pats the table for more. Then I got him a chocolate cake for his first-ever cake smash! He dug right into it. He even picked up a huge piece and stuffed it in his mouth. He was also lovin that blue frosting. It was great! We had to cut him off though because I was afraid he'd get sick. After we got him all cleaned up, he opened gifts. His favorite was his Mickey car. He loved pushing it all around the room. We also gave him a toy phone that Lincoln picked out for him, a bath toy and a new outfit. 

It was a great day! We love our little one year old! 

Jackson is 1 year old!

1 year:

• 11/28 Walking! He walks short distances now. It’s so cute! 
• Gets into everything! Right now his current obsession is emptying out my cabinet in my bathroom. 
• Enjoys playing with Lucy and Lincoln. They play well together and they keep him pretty occupied. When they’re not around, he doesn’t like playing by himself and just wants mommy. 
• 11/28 has croup.
• Likes to take out shoes and suck on them. Yuck! 
• Loves playing on the slide in the basement. He crawls up the stairs and yells at me until I help him go down the slide. He also loves to peek his head out the window. I always get the biggest smiles and giggles when I scare him through the window.

Daniel's 35th Birthday

I asked Dan what he wanted to do for his birthday this year and he said he wanted to watch the Jazz game. After he got home from football, we went out to dinner with Dave and Kathy to Wallaby's. It was good to spend time with them before Dave's big surgery that weekend.
After dinner, Dan rode his new one wheel (yes, I gave in) and we ate ice cream cake. Then Tony, Davey and Jason came over to watch the jazz game with dan. They had fun riding Dan's one wheel before the game. He had a good birthday!

It was also Mindy's birthday! Erika and I met up with her and took her to lunch at Vessel's kitchen. Then we went shopping at Ross for a little bit. It was good to spend some sister time with them! It's a little crazy when we go out together since we all have babies who are loud and messy!

Fall Break 2019

Since the St George house and condo were being used by others over Fall break, Dan and I decided to splurge a little bit and bought a room at the Sand Hollow Resort in Hurricane. It was SO BEAUTIFUL! Our room was new and so clean and it had the most picturesque view out the window. The kids were so excited to be there. They love staying in hotel rooms. They were also pretty excited to watch Mickey mouse clubhouse because it had cable.

When we got there, Dan and Jack took a nap and me and the kids went swimming! They had 3 pools right next to our building. There was a kid pool that was shallow and had some fun fountains. It was pretty cold though. The pool we spent the most time at was a lot warmer and it had a hot tub next to it. It was pretty cold and windy the first day so it was nice to be in that hot tub. 

The next day we met up with Dan's parents, Julie's and Kristy's families and went and played pickle ball and the kids played on the playground. It was so nice and warm outside! It was fun to have all the cousins play together. Then we met up at our resort and went swimming. For dinner we went to Red Robin with Julie's family. Then we went back to the resort and relaxed after that. 

The next day we went and hung out at the condo. We went for a bike ride, rode bikes and scooters in the parking lot, and played four square. Then we went to the carousel and rode that. Dave and Kathy were nice and gave the kids tickets to ride it. They also rented a scooter and let us all ride that around the park. It was so fun! After that, me and the kids took a quick trip to Sand Hollow reservoir to play in the sand for a minute. It was nice, but Dan didn't want to spend time there. The rest of the day, we hung out with the family, ate dinner and went back to the resort and watched a movie. We had so much fun and will definitely come back to the resort! Next time we will have to bring our UTV and boat!
