Living in Elk Ridge

This is where I live now.
Elk Ridge, UT.

I went from big city to small town...and I really love it. Small towns are so great! I have never been to so many parades as I have this last summer. Payson, SF, Salem, Elk Ridge... I love parades now!

There are other things about living in a small town that are so great....
-Chickens cross the road
-Sometimes you get stuck driving behind a tractor
-You have to drive with your brights on at night so you don't run into any deer
-But you also can spotlight with your brights so you can see fields filled with deer (Dan does this frequently)
-I have a beautiful view from my house
-I drive past beautiful orchards and fields every day
-Everyone knows each other

I love Elk Ridge! Come visit!

House Update: moved in, cleaned, and decorated

For the most part, the house is decorated. We got these beautiful couches from my parents. Yes, we are spoiled.
Do you like the sticks in the corner. They are decorative, but all the guys that come over always want to use them to fight each other.
Kitchen! Love the kitchen, love the huge pantry, and my cabinets.

Daniel put all this up for me. The stairs to go into the basement are right below, so it was a little sketch to put it all up.

I love my house! We are so lucky.

Do not see!

Gross. Disgusting. Graphic.
Eeeeeeewwwww.
Ok so I'm not the biggest Twilight fan, but my sisters invited me to the movie premier last night and so I thought it would be fun to go with them. Well it was fun to be with them and the best part of the night was playing catch phrase in the theater before. However, the movie was awful! I knew going into this that it probably would be pretty sketch. I read some of the book and put it down cuz it was too sensual for me. And holy cow, it was way too sensual, I felt so uncomfortable the whole time especially knowing there were little girls watching this too. It was graphic. In fact, I got so queasy seeing all that blood that I had to leave (I guess I don't do well with blood). Edward and Bella are just gross to me anyways.
Really, don't see this movie.
Too sensual. Too Bloody.
Gross.

House Update: DONE!

And now for the long awaited blog post....We are finally Homeowners! We are so excited!
It has been a crazy two weeks finalizing everything and moving in. But now it is all over with. yes! We are so lucky to live here. I love our home, our new neighborhood, and our new ward. It is wonderful!
wahoo!! When we got home from California, it was practically all done. They just had to add the grass and whatnot. So on Thursday, November 3 (I think) we closed!

Today, we have everything unpacked and pretty much decorated! Thanks to everyone who helped us move in and decorate. I will post more pictures soon!
