Sharolyn

Dan's friend, Sharolyn, passed away last Tuesday.  Dan was her home teacher in their BYU student ward. They became good friends over the years and shared a lot in common. Dan said she was the most positive person he has ever met, even through her trial of cancer.
I never met her, but after going to the funeral on Saturday, I felt like I knew her a little more. I wish I could've met her. She was an amazing person. Her family and friends said that she always said everyday was the best day of her life. She lived each day to the fullest and always trusted in her Heavenly Father.

Book Festival

Last Saturday, Chuck-A-Rama got to participate in the 2nd annual Book Utah Book Festival at the University of Utah. We set up this fun booth where the kids can spin the wheel and win a prize. They also received a free kids meal to Chuck-A-Rama. All the kids loved it and many of them came back to our booth to win more prizes. Most of them wanted to win a book, but a lot also wanted to win the slap hand and a mini eraser. They had fun and so did we!

The wheel, the bookmarks (art done by Zach of Mighty Clever), and books!

After I was done with my shift, Paxton and Remi came to visit me! We walked around, ate some treats, got free books, and ran into some funny characters. As you can tell, Paxton was a little nervous to be near them. haha

Labor Day at the Cabin

I love the cabin. I was so happy to get up here finally. We never go near enough. It was fun to get together with the family and enjoy each other's company. We had yummy dinner, went for a walk, and played the movie game. It was so much fun!

The "picnic" rock.

"JAC" Jamie, Ali, Christal. We carved this a long time ago. Best friends forever! :)
